Bugibba Square Is FINISHED... But Was It Worth It? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bugibba Square is finally complete, bringing relief to many locals, retailers, and visitors who have endured years of construction. Having documented this project over several years, I wanted to share my final thoughts on the finished result. While the new square looks cleaner and more modern, I also noticed several concerns. Following heavy rains, there appears to be evidence of soil erosion and potential damage to some planting areas. Shade remains limited in many parts of the square, several plants already appear to be struggling, and seating options may not be ideal during Malta's hot summer months, with large areas of stone and marble surfaces becoming extremely warm. I also discuss the choice of flooring materials, which may be vulnerable to staining and wear over time, and whether enough consideration was given to long-term maintenance and comfort. So, was this massive investment money well spent? Has Bugibba finally got the town square it deserves, or were opportunities missed? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
