Pueblo de San José, resguardo de la comunidad Huarpe
80 km from the town of Lavalle and just over 100 km from the capital city, the descendants of the Huarpe people, the majority, are struggling to keep their village going. Dust has practically erased the countless traces left on the ground by the water when the Mendoza River flowed through this area and crops grew along its main branch until it joins the San Juan River.
