Silence is an instrumental piece by Nini Rosso – a variation of the Silenzio signal –, played with the trumpet and published in 1964 as a single in several editions with different b-sides and, the following year , as the opening track of the album of the same name ( Durium , DRL.50011 ). Contrary to popular belief, the Silence signal does not derive from the American Taps , but rather from the Silence Shots of the army of the Kingdom of Sardinia , as attested by the Regulations of military discipline and internal instruction and service for the infantry of 1859
