Officer Ambush

LVMPD Lt. Sasha Larkin helps tell the story of the numerous LVMPD personnel who responded to the ambush attack on officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo on June 8th, 2014. A third victim, Joseph Wilcox, also died when he tried to stop the attackers as they stormed into a crowded Walmart store. Recently, 23 Metro officers received the department's Medal of Valor and Unit Meritorious certificates for their heroic actions in ending the threat.
