That is about 5 car lengths. If you can read the number plate, then you carry on with the driving test. If you can’t read it, the examiner will choose a different vehicle and give you a second chance. If you still fail to read that number plate, the examiner will get a tape measure and measure the exact distance, usually a different number plate.
