Week 26: What to Expect During Your Pregnancy + Gina's Pregnancy Journey!
Welcome to week 26 of pregnancy! This week, baby's about the size of a VHS tape (or a spaghetti squash!). Key highlights include fully developed retinas in baby’s eyes, eyelashes on their eyelids, and the ability to open and close their little eyes. Baby is also beginning to develop their sleep/wake cycle, and you may notice patterns in identifying periods of the day where they are considerably more active, versus when they are asleep in there! For expectant mothers, Roxanne discusses the changes that may be happening including increased Braxton Hicks contractions, constipation, headaches, all of which tend to be a symptom of dehydration and hormonal changes in the body. Additionally, Gina shares that she experiencing an increase in Braxton Hicks and has been battling constipation for a while with this pregnancy, and what steps she has taking to alleviate these discomforts.
