Professor Katherine Blundell OBE, a senior member of our Astrophysics Sub-department, Research Fellow at St John's College (Oxford) and Gresham Professor of Astronomy since 2019, gave a lecture for alumni and general public: "Watching the (rapidly) evolving Universe" Introduced by Prof Ian Shipsey, Head of Physics. Among many other projects, Prof Blundell is the founder and director of The Global Jet Watch (www.globaljetwatch.net), an international project instigated to explore the time-domain astrophysics of phenomena that vary on timescales of hours and days.
