📺 In this special report, we go back to the year 2000 to remember one of the most emblematic places in Pindamonhangaba: the KINGDOM OF CLEAR WATERS, located in the Piracuama neighborhood. 🌳 A space surrounded by nature, culture, tourism, and tradition, which for decades has received visitors from all over the Paraíba Valley region and from various parts of Brazil. 🎨 The report shows an exhibition held at the site, bringing together about 80 ARTISANS from the Pindamonhangaba Cultural and Tourist Association. 🧵 Dish towels. 🪆 Rag dolls. 🧼 Soap dishes. 🧺 Handmade towels. 🎁 Souvenirs from the city. All produced with dedication by local artists whose mission was to promote the name of Pindamonhangaba to tourists passing through the region on their way to Campos do Jordão. 🚂 The historic Campos do Jordan Railway was an important partner in the project, strengthening regional tourism and valuing local culture. 🎭 Monteiro Lobato's characters were also present in various handcrafted works, reinforcing the cultural identity of the area. 🖌️ One of the highlights of the report is the visual artist Sérgio Calipo, who gave live demonstrations of his works, inspired by the tourist attractions of Pindamonhangaba. 🌄 According to the artisans, the tranquil environment, surrounded by nature and the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range, provided inspiration for artistic creation. 💚 For many residents of the region, the Reino das Águas Claras (Kingdom of Clear Waters) was more than just a tourist attraction. It was a place for: ✔️ Family outings ✔️ Picnics ✔️ Cultural events ✔️ Contact with nature ✔️ Unforgettable memories 😔 Unfortunately, the space was closed during the 2020 pandemic and never reopened its doors. Since then, residents of Pindamonhangaba, Taubaté, and neighboring cities have lamented the loss of one of the region's main tourist symbols. 💭 Many still wonder: ❓ Will the Reino das Águas Claras reopen? ❓ Will the space be revitalized? ❓ Can tourism in Piracuama be revived? 🏛️ According to information released by the State Government, there was a process of outsourcing aimed at future investments.
