Starting off at Latimer Square we walk through Gloucester street towards the tram station. They are building a whole load of new townhouses here, they go for around the $600k mark. It was a nice change walking around at night, usually I'm too tired after work, but it's been so long since I took a video! Thursday night is the late night for shopping in Christchurch, although the retail shops still close at normal time.. there tends to be more people around on a Thursday night, but it was still relatively quiet. We walk around the tram station and up through New Regent street and then back down Colombo so we can pass the new Court Theatre, Library and the old Cathedral Square. We turn back in towards Colombo street and check out the main strip, then zig zag back through Five Lanes and onto Hereford. We continue our criss cross patter towards the riverside bar area, which is rather quiet at 6pm, I suspect it picks up later. Finally we have a walk through the Riverside market where they have a live cover of Amy Winehouse.. Youtube tells me this is copyrighted music.. even though it's a cover, so I let YouTube automatically cut the audio.. Hopefully it doesn't sound too bad.
