Jeremy Brett/Sherlock Holmes......My Immortal

I thought I'd have a go at making this pretty dark, sad video of Holmes entwined with Jeremy himself and because Jeremy suffered with manic depression... so did Holmes ! Holmes obsessive and depressive personality really fascinated and 'rightly so' frightened Brett. In many ways Holmes personality resembled Brett's own, the two mirrored each other and with that he made it fascinating to watch and no-one can repeat that for me. Though hard to say but Bretts manic depression added that scary on the edge, raw element to Holmes.. at the expense of his own sanity and used the character to play out his own demons. Also the wonderful Watson's support for Holme's turmoil entwined with Mr Hardwickes support for Jeremy's turmoil. Jeremy Brett has to be the best Holmes. I hope I've managed to capture both the mens struggle and especially how it must have felt for Brett sometimes in life and some of the darker moments of Holmes. We must have the total awareness of depression, metal illness and the battles that people have to endure from whatever walks of life. The song is.... My Immortal.......
