It's winter outside and very snowy. I've never owned a snowmobile before, so I decided to fix that. Without thinking twice, I went to Avito to look for the most affordable option, and after a while, among the snowmobiles and other homemade products, I found this beauty, an ancient Buran snowmobile. Naturally, it's very far away and naturally not running, but after talking with the owner, it became clear that it could be resurrected with relatively little effort (though I'm not sure). So, here's the continuation of my snowmobile story! In previous videos, I was assembling the engine, and eventually got it running smoothly and in perfect working order. After disassembling the chassis, I discovered much bigger problems with rust, or rather, rot... I needed welding and a grinder, but everything was welded and repaired. 😅 Then I had to spend money on the chassis and completely replace it with a new one, to save time and get it out the door faster. The gearbox also presented some problems, so I had to quickly rebuild it. And after all this work, I can't wait to test it out. It's best to do this outside, of course, where there's more space and you won't be disturbing anyone. In the last video, I went for a ride around the dacha with a friend, but without the support of another snowmobile, I was afraid to go out into powder and just go where my eyes lead, wondering if there might be any construction or if I'd break down... So I was really glad when they invited me to ride with other snowmobiles, because I would definitely feel more confident and could have driven more! This video is about that trip, a snowstorm, a Yamaha Viking, and the forest... But something went wrong 😅 See for yourself!
