Letters and Sounds: Short Vowels | PreK-K Letters & Sounds
In this lesson Julia starts by doing a mindful moment 5 Senses Gratitude exercise and discusses some learning strategies to use in school. Then using letter cards, she sings to review the letter sounds we’ve learned, and we do a warm up to practice rhyming words and isolating initial and final sounds in words. Then we sing a song to review syllables in words. Finally, we introduce short vowels using songs and adding words from the songs to the anchor chart. Then we practice sorting vowel sounds pictures.
