The last time I played live with Lukather was in 1983 at the “Goleta Rollercade.” Santa Barbara, ca🎸

Here’s 22 minutes of improvisation by Tommy playing with Toto and one of my guitar heroes Steve Lukather who is about four years older than me and the first time I saw him play was at the Santa Barbara Arlington Theatre on State Street in California where I lived the first half of my life until I was 35 I live in Florida now in Sarasota County I’m 65 years old still playing guitar I hope you enjoy this Steve “Luke,” was a friend of mine who I haven’t seen in 22 years. I hope he sees this and maybe he’ll remember what he taught me that night at In 1983 at the “Goleta-Rollercade All-Star,” jam with Kenny Loggins, several of the Beach boys, Mike Love, and the endless summer band guys, my band, “the realmers,“ was a three-piece and “Luke” sat in with us and we sat in with him, and David Paich was there on keyboard, I remember well that David had just bought a new “Honda Accord” a 1982 and it looked like a hush puppy shoe, 🐶 but he had a phone in it and he thought he was so cool because of that phone, he was cool, with the top hat and everything. It wasn’t the phone. He was just cool anyway. I have a lot of photos of that and even a “16 mm or “super-8” I can’t remember, film of it..I’ve been trying to find for 25 years. I’m hoping to find it and play it. It was a blast, Joe Walsh was there wearing a pair of Levi’s in a red T-shirt with a hole right in the front over his chest invited me into his Winnebago to meet some of his dancing girls. It was parked behind the Rollercade. That was an experience too he played several songs with us. so it’s one of my escapades in rock ‘n’ roll and true stories. I’d love to tell them to you all, “live,” when I get my live shows going. Thanks for watching. Give me a like if you got a sec.👍✌🏼🎸
