Combien ça coûte de vivre en Ontario ? (2020)

How much does it cost to live in Ontario? (2020) #LivingInCanada #FrenchInCanada #ImmigratingToCanada How much does it cost to live in Canada? When you want to try your luck on this side of the Atlantic, this is a question we all ask ourselves... And in this first episode, let's take a look at Ontario! 1. Why come and live in Ontario? #1 Ontario is THE most populous province in Canada, with approximately 12 million inhabitants. And the most populous province also means the largest employment pool in the country. To find work more easily in Canada, it's clearly a destination that makes sense! #2 You want to improve your English. Ontario is an English-speaking province, and even though there are pockets of French-speaking resistance, such as in Northern Ontario in the Sudbury area, English remains THE majority language here! To fully immerse yourself in the English-speaking world, this is a prime destination. #3 Toronto, the capital of Ontario, is home to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), the country's largest airport. And this is a very important factor for any expat, because if you need to return to France or elsewhere, whether for vacation or an emergency, living near such an airport makes things much easier. For example, outside of a pandemic, from Toronto, you have 3 to 4 direct flights per day to Paris. #4 Ontario has certain tourist sites that you absolutely must see. ➳ Niagara Falls should be at the top of your list, in my opinion! ➳ The cities of Toronto & Ottawa 2. How much does it cost to live in Ontario? To answer this question, I looked at these two studies: ➳ Household Spending, Canada, Regions and Provinces https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/... ➳ Household Spending by Household Type https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/... Using this data, I estimated the annual costs for a single person, a couple without children, and a family in the following areas: Housing (including water, gas, electricity) Transportation Food Communications Clothing Health Recreation All the tables presented in the video are also on my blog here: https://notrevieaucanada.com/2020/12/... 3. How to refine your budget? There are plenty of online resources you can use to get a better idea of your budget before you leave. ➳ For housing: https://www.realtor.ca If you don't yet know where you want to live, I recommend starting by looking at the cost in the five most livable Ontario cities: Toronto; Ottawa; Waterloo; Burlington; and Guelph. ➳ For transportation: If you live in downtown Toronto and can do without a car, check here how much public transit costs for a month: https://www.ttc.ca/Fares_and_passes/P... If you need to buy a car, however, in addition to the cost of the car, you can use this very useful calculator to estimate the annual cost of the vehicle: https://carcosts.caa.ca/fr ➳ For food: Create your virtual shopping cart on the following sites: Walmart https://www.walmart.ca/fr Zehrs https://www.zehrs.ca ➳ For telecommunications: Mobile phone: https://www.whistleout.ca Internet and television: Rogers https://www.rogers.com/home Bell https://www.bell.ca With all these resources, a little time, and some motivation, you can create your own budget, which should be pretty close to what you'll expect when you arrive! ———————————— ➳ Did you like the video?
