Make Your Own Seed Bead Earrings (Single Flat Square Stitch)

Learn how to weave a simple, single flat square stitch pattern and attach fringe along the base of your work to make a pair of earrings, or a pendant. Great for beginners and intermediates alike. This video is meant to be viewed if you have a fundamental understanding of beadwork and fringe assembly. Materials used: size 11 seed beads; size 10 beading needle (Tulip, Beadsmith, or Pony work... avoid using regular sewing needles, as they are not as flexible); Beadsmith’s big eye needle; 4lb Fireline or Wildfire; all-purpose thread (or nylon beading if preferred) for fringe; bead mat; scissors; lighter (please use with caution or ask an adult for assistance!); pliers; ear wires; super glue (for jewelry work) All items were purchased @ Sea of Beads in Austin, TX.
