We continue to explore Transcarpathian coloring in the village of Kolochava. This time - with our new friends, the wonderful family of Roman and Liena Zhuk, and their two kids, who also came here for a vacation. Together, we go on a hike along one of the popular tourist routes to Strymba mountain, the highest peak in the vicinity of Kolochava. There deserves to be mentioned the interesting and important activity of Roman and Liena, which caused us admiration: on their own initiative, they clear the Carpathians of garbage and even set up a whole eco-project, to which many volunteers who are not indifferent to the problem of nature pollution are attracted. And they also created their own wonderful brand of craft jam, which you hopelessly fall in love with from the first spoon. And in the evening we witnessed culinary magic performed by Olena, the mistress of the “Kolo Hir” estate, in which we have lived. With the help of her husband Yurii, she cooked Riplianka for us - a unique dish of Carpathian local cuisine, which is the pride of Kolochava.
