Happy very belated New Year! Charlie Poole the corgi and I were hanging on the porch a few days ago. 2022 is off to a weird start, but here's a bit of the old time banjo tune Fortune in hopes that it might bring us some good fortune in the coming year. I forget how much I enjoy this old aluminum rim banjo. Many of the tunes I play here are carefully learned versions from players who inspire me. However, this one is just one that I've played forever, and I'm not fussing over it too much. I learned it in high school and have just let it become whatever it is. It's a classic NC/VA tune.
