Happy World Leopard Day!
Over this recent bank holiday weekend, we celebrated World Leopard Day! World Leopard Day takes place annually on May 3rd to celebrate and raise awareness about the conservation needs of Leopards. With less than 150 Amur Leopards left in the wild, they are considered the world's rarest big cat. At Dartmoor Zoo we are home to three incredible Amur Leopards – Freddo, Lena and their cub Zeya, one of only 15 born globally in 2025, so this species is particularly close to our heart! To celebrate this species and our incredible family, we had a weekend jampacked with fun and educational activities, plus a trail sheet to help Zeya find her spots.
