Having A Life Worth Showing Part 2

What kind of life are we inviting others to follow? This week, we continued our Jonah series by exploring what it truly means to make disciples. Before we can teach someone how to follow Christ, we must first live a life worth showing. Our relationship with Jesus isn't something we put on for Sunday and take off during the week. It's a lifelong commitment that should shape every part of who we are. Looking at Galatians 5, Pastor Mark reminded us that every believer faces a daily battle between the flesh and the Spirit. Temptation may remain, but we are no longer powerless. As we surrender to the Holy Spirit and follow His leading, He gives us the strength to walk in obedience instead of being controlled by our old nature. The contrast is clear: we can live according to the works of the flesh or display the fruit of the Spirit. God never calls us to a standard He won't empower us to live. Through His Spirit, we are equipped to love, forgive, show self-control, and reflect Christ to the world. The answer to the question, "How do I show the world a life worth living?" is simple: Live in a new way. Walk in step with the Spirit, and let your life point people to Jesus.
