Regression analysis is an analysis conducted to know the proximity of a cause-and-effect relationship between an independent and a dependent variable. Regression analysis measures the influence of independent variable towards the dependent variable, and to predict dependent variable using the independent variable. This analysis estimates the alteration of a variable when an alteration is happening in another variable. Therefore, regression analysis is a means of decision making whether the increase or decrease of a variable follows another variable’s increase or decrease. Nonlinear regression is a method of obtaining a nonlinear model stating the dependent and independent variable. If the functional relation between independent variable X and dependent variable Y is not nonlinear, then transform the nonlinear form to its linear form. The difference between the nonlinear model and the linear model is that the nonlinear model’s graph forms a curved line.
