Besök på Motordagen i Gävle 2026

Filmed at Motordagen (The Engine Day) in Gävle on June 6, 2026. During the event, visitors could view locomotives displayed outside the museum, explore the regular museum exhibition, and check out the vehicles parked out by the train hall (Tåghallen). A shuttle train operated once every hour between the museum and the train hall, hauled by diesel locomotives T41 204, T42 205, and T43 235. The T42 205 was manufactured by GM in 1953 as a demonstrator locomotive to showcase modern diesel traction for its time, paving the way for the subsequent production of the T41 series. T41 204 was built in 1956 by NOHAB in Trollhättan under license from GM. T43 235 was built in 1962 as part of the T43 series during the early 1960s, which was also manufactured by NOHAB on a GM license. Other locomotives on display outside the museum during Motordagarna included Trafikverket's Rc1 1021 (TRVF Rc1 1021), Trainpoint / Railcare Effishunter (TPAS 744 159), Green Cargo Td 402 (GC Td 402), and a newly refurbished SJ X40 3327. In addition to rail vehicles, various other historic motor vehicles were exhibited during the day. Among these were two vintage buses—a Scania CF 110 and a Volvo B58 Hägglund—as well as an aircraft engine, an old armored vehicle, classic cars, and motorcycles.
