Material Models for Soft Foams - Part 1 - Theory
This video discusses why traditional hyperelastic models should not be used to predict the mechanical response of soft polymer foams. The video then goes on to discuss the Abaqus Hyperfoam model, the COMSOL Storakers model, the Ansys Ogden foam model, and the LS-DYNA Hill Foam model. A second, follow up part of this video covers how to calibrate these foam material models.
