In this video, Dave talks about controversially leaving his band mates in Caravan on 7th August 1971 after the release of the band's then latest album In The Land of Grey and Pink. Then meeting guitarist and song writer, John Murphy, Dave found himself hitching to Portugal to catch up with his new best mate. When Robert Wyatt quit Soft Machine, somehow, a telegram landed in foreign waters instructing Dave to return to England, as his country needed him... in Matching Mole. Dave Sinclair ...
