If you also join us at http://www.unicoos.com, it'll be great!!! #seeyouinclass :-) For the first year of high school, we'll solve a Dynamics exercise on the coefficient of static and dynamic friction. We'll be asked to calculate the acceleration with which a moving object will move if it's subjected to a force of 150 N or 180 N. To do this, we'll first calculate the static friction force. Once calculated, we'll compare it with the force we exert. If the static friction force is greater, the object won't move. If it's less, the object will move, and we'll need to calculate the dynamic friction force to determine the acceleration using Newton's second law.
