Aflevering 5: documentaireserie 'Binnen bij Noordwest'.

Episode 5 ‘Inside Noordwest’ In episode 5, pediatric nurse Demi Stroet provides training to her colleagues in the pediatric ward of the new building so they can find their way around after the upcoming move. Similar training is also taking place in the Emergency Department, where resident physician Tamar Kooger practices a realistic case with the ED staff. Gynecologist Joost Velzel visits Tjeerd Germans, the Dean of the Noordwest Research Center, because he can conduct scientific research over the next two years into the question of why some women recover from childbirth faster than others, and specifically what that could mean for the prevention of diabetes and high blood pressure. And then it is March 27, the last day that the existing building is still fully in use. For the people who have worked there for a long time, it is a day full of melancholy, but not for Vanessa Sai-A-Tjin, who, as project manager for the new building, mainly has her hands full as a troubleshooter. The move takes place on March 28, a massive undertaking in which a patient is transferred from the existing building to the new construction every three minutes. Meanwhile, the Emergency Department is already running at full capacity, resident physician Tamar Kooger is assisting in the plaster room, and surgeon Boj Mirck is performing one of the first hip surgeries in the new operating rooms.
