Kumba, Ekona & the Fon of Njinibi | What Kind of Government Are We Trying to Build?

What kind of government are we trying to build for Southern Cameroons? In this video, I reflect on the concerns raised by mothers in Kumba and Ekona, the responsibility of traditional leaders such as the Fon of Njinibi, and the deeper institutional failures affecting our young people. Drug abuse, unemployment, poor schools, weak infrastructure, and hopelessness are not isolated problems. They are signs of a society that has not yet built institutions capable of protecting its people and creating opportunity. Legal clarity matters, but legal clarity is only the foundation. The greater task is nation-building. We must decide whether we want another poor, corrupt, divided, and unstable system—or a prosperous democratic society built on competence, accountability, public trust, freedom of worship, free trade, strong institutions, and responsible citizenship. This message is especially for young Southern Cameroonians. Your future cannot be outsourced to one politician, one party, one traditional authority, or one personality. A serious people do not build their destiny around one man. They build institutions strong enough to survive any man. The future requires knowledge, character, public authorization, civic education, discipline, and the courage to think beyond the limits we inherited. Watch, share your thoughts, and join the conversation about the kind of government and society we must prepare to build. #SouthernCameroons #Kumba #Ekona #Njinibi #Leadership #NationBuilding #LegalClarity #PublicValue #Vision2045
