How to Fish the Asturie and Dark Sleeper with Ultimate Fishing's Sietze Hendriks - Bass Lure Fishing

In October of 2024, the Gwinear Angling team were invited to the headquarters of European lure tackle specialists Ultimate Fishing on the beautiful island of Belle-île-en-Mer. There were plenty of new products to learn about but we would also be doing some fishing and our guide on Belle-île and Ultimate Fishing representative, Sietze, wanted to show us how to use a couple of lures that are massively popular in Europe but, currently, not so favoured in the UK bass lure fishing scene. These lures were the Xorus Asturie, a hard surface bait, and the Megabass Dark Sleeper, a weighted soft plastic. Under Sietze's guidance, we quickly learned how best to fish the Asturie and the Dark Sleeper and even caught a few nice bass along the way.
