ヤノベケンジ＠MASK&アートの町 北加賀屋｜SHIP'S CAT LUCA号上陸

A quiet art walk in Kitakagaya, Osaka, Japan. This video features Kenji Yanobe’s exhibition “LUCA: THE LANDING” at MASK Open Storage 2025, an art warehouse in Kitakagaya. The large work “SHIP’S CAT LUCA” has landed inside the warehouse, creating a strange and playful scene. 2025 is the year of Expo 2025 Osaka, and in this exhibition I encountered a cat-like version of the Tower of the Sun. For Kenji Yanobe, Taro Okamoto was an artist he deeply admired, and this work feels like an homage to the Tower of the Sun. After the exhibition, SHIP’S CAT LUCA will be dismantled, and its pieces will be given to supporters as part of the project. The video also includes part of the video shown inside the venue, followed by a walk through Kitakagaya, where old warehouses, art spaces, retro streets, and small discoveries create a unique atmosphere. The video ends with still photographs from the day. I added subtitles to explain the exhibition and the scenes. I hope you enjoy this quiet walk through art and retro Osaka.
