Petition for Presence Let us feel that God is with me at this very moment. Jesus says, “I stand at the door and knock.” What an amazing privilege it is that the Creator of all things comes to us. Let us willingly accept His presence. Petition for Freedom Let us ask the Lord for the grace to be free from our own desires. Lord, grant me the grace to be free from the abundance of this life. Do not let me be captivated by the desire for material wealth. Free my heart and mind so that I may love and follow You. Consciousness Let us be conscious of the traces where the Lord has been with us in the places of my life. Just as it is said, “There is a time and a place for everything,” Lord, allow me to always hope to remain in Your presence and to recognize Your calling. Gospel Tuesday of the 17th Week in Ordinary Time, July 28, 2026 (Matthew 13:36–43) Key Points for Meditation Jesus uses a parable to describe a world where good and evil coexist, employing the image of wheat and weeds. He paints a picture of how they will be revealed in the last days. We give thanks for the fruit of our faith and the goodness that Jesus works and reaps within our lives. I offer to Jesus all my weaknesses that hinder the abundance enjoyed as a child of God. The seeds of goodness are sown in the world on their own. There is no need to wait until the situation improves. We can practice the good we can do right now. Just as a seed grows toward the light, we too grow toward the light of God’s presence who loves us. We earnestly desire to remain silent to any anxious voices within us and to respond only to God who speaks to us. Let us meditate for a moment. Discourse We give thanks to God for this time we have spent together and for all the insights we have gained through the Scripture passages.
