Wild Again – The return to the wild of young Bearded Vultures in central Switzerland
The bearded vulture is well on its way to re-establishing itself as an important part of Alpine fauna. Over 200 birds have been successfully released into the wild to date and there have been reports of nests right across the Alps. The newly released bearded vultures are expected to nest for the first time in six to seven years, hopefully settling again for good here in Central Switzerland.
