First, let's understand what energy is. We can say that the capacity to produce movement is called energy. It appears in nature in many different forms, such as mechanical, chemical, thermal, atomic, nuclear, electrical, etc. The primary source of energy used on our planet is the Sun. From the nuclear fusion that occurs within it, its radiation reaches Earth. Once here, this energy is transformed into a variety of forms, including electrical energy. Electric energy, as an intermediate form, is a key contributor to the technological process. We can convert mechanical, thermal, nuclear, and wind energy on a large scale. All of these types of energy are converted into electrical energy at generation stations. This energy is then sent to users through transmission lines. These users, using their devices, convert it into various forms of use: heat, sound, light, images, etc. Furthermore, electrical energy is also converted into electrical signals that are processed in computers. These signals are then transmitted around the Earth as electromagnetic waves, via radio or fiber optic devices. Before reaching your home, electrical energy passes through several paths. First, upon arriving at your home, the energy passes through a meter. This meter is installed by your local electricity company. The purpose of this device is to measure the amount of electricity used in your home during the month (30 days). The measurement displayed on this meter reflects the energy consumption of the electrical appliances in our home. However, how can we know the energy consumption of each appliance in our home?
