Contortion in Film - Karin Kriström [1997]

We're currently in the process of interviewing and gathering more media on Karin Kriström to hopefully release even better performing footage of this amazing artist! Stay tuned. This compilation contains all of Karin's scenes in the 1997 Swedish children's film, called "Lilla Jönssonligan på styva linan", in which a crafty gang of three kids attempt to steal free tickets to see a travelling circus that's come to town. Among the troupe is a contortionist played by Karin, who demonstrates incredible symmetry, control and tightness in her backbending, a trait shared by fellow graduate of the Annie Fratellini school and Blink Age favourite, Emmanuelle Peyre (see earlier videos). The contortionist, known in Swedish as "Gummikvinnan" (lit. "Rubber Woman") has no lines of dialogue, but outshines the entire cast of the circus' background performers for pure skill and visual attention. Until we verify a good deal of Karin's history and career story, please enjoy this supercut of every "Gummikvinnan" appearance in the movie.
