The Gustave Moreau Museum is a national museum located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, a five-minute walk from the Opéra Garnier. It is unique in that it was the house where Gustave Moreau lived almost his entire life with his parents. This unique feature is still present today, as on the first floor visitors can see the house as Gustave Moreau lived in it, including his bedroom, the boudoir dedicated to his friend Alexandrine Dureux, the dining room, and 19th-century ceramics. The reception room is furnished as a place of remembrance for Italy, which he loved so much and where he travelled from 1857 to 1859.
