Photographing Hummingbirds of Ecuador at Sachatamia Lodge - Episode 2

The Sachatamia Lodge near Mindo, Ecuador is a hummingbird paradise where you can see many beautiful hummingbirds feeding at feeders and feeding at flowers right outside your front door. Here we photographed the incredible Violet-tailed Sylph, Purple-bibbed Whitetip, Purple-throated Woodstar, White Booted Racket-tail and the Velvet-purple Coronet. We also saw a Blue-gray Tanager and a female Lemon-rumped Tanager at the fruit feeders. My name is Carole Turek and I am on a quest to photograph every single hummingbird species on the planet! There are over 350 types and I currently have photographed more than 150 of them. Come with me virtually as I explore Central and South America to find the most beautiful hummingbirds in the world.
