My Civic Finally Fought Back...

My 90HP Honda Civic track car was struggling in the summer heat, so before heading back to one of the UK's most underrated race circuits, it was finally time for some much-needed upgrades. In this episode, I fit a larger aluminium radiator to help solve the Civic's cooling issues, install a performance 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, and then take the little EJ9 back to Blyton Park for another grassroots track day. The goal was simple: improve reliability, unlock a little extra performance, and spend a day chasing much faster machinery around one of my favourite circuits. Unfortunately, things don't quite go to plan. As temperatures soar during the UK heatwave, the Civic begins fighting back with overheating issues, coolant dramas, and a day full of mechanical problem-solving. Along the way I receive some invaluable driver coaching, battle through traffic, learn more about the car's setup, and try to keep the little Honda alive long enough to enjoy one of the best track day venues in Britain. This series is all about proving that you don't need huge horsepower or expensive machinery to have fun on track. Sometimes all you need is 90 horsepower, a lightweight Honda Civic, and a refusal to give up. If you enjoy grassroots motorsport, track days, Honda builds, budget project cars, driving tutorials, JDM culture and underdog cars punching above their weight, you're in the right place. 👍 Like the video if you're rooting for the Civic! 🔔 Subscribe for more Slow Car Fast adventures 💬 Let me know what you think is causing the cooling issue CAR: Honda Civic EJ9 1.4 MODIFICATIONS IN THIS VIDEO: • Aluminium twin-core radiator • 4-2-1 exhaust manifold • Cooling system upgrades • Track day preparation TRACK: Blyton Park Circuit Thumbnail image by KRF Photo #HondaCivic #TrackDay #HondaEJ9 #GrassrootsMotorsport #ProjectCar #JDM #BudgetBuild #TrackCar #BlytonPark #SlowCarFast
