The 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season was a below-average season that was the last season of a 3-year inactive period. Notable storms include Erika, a weak tropical storm which caused caused major flooding in the Antilles, and Joaquin, a Category 4 behemoth that became the strongest Atlantic hurricane to be of non-tropical origin, which battered the Bahamas and sunk the S.S.
