Start with soaking wet hair and finger brush to ensure your curl pattern stays clumped. 2. Add in a leave in conditioner 3. Flip your hair over gently and add in a mousse to the roots and take excess down the shaft of the hair. 4. Stay flipped over and add in a gel. I scrunch to product in. 5. Gently flip back over and adjust hair where needed 6. DO NOT TOUCH IT! 7. Diffuse on high fan low heat to no heat till cast forms, typically 5-10 mins 8. Diffuse on high fan low heat to medium heat and just hover till dry! 9. Take an oil and flip your hair and scrunch oil in and shake out curls till curls are soft and bouncy. 10. Play with your part and enjoy shiny bouncy curls! Products for low porosity: leave in conditioner: great to prime the hair, detangle or add moisture without weighing down the curls and waves. Mousse: VOLUME!! Can also add a weightless cast to the hair. Typically not a moisturizing factor. Gel: Creates a CAST!! Again not a moisturizing factor but amazing for creating defined and shiny frizz free curls without weighing them down. Oil: a lightweight oil can help with frizz, dullness, crunchy casts, and texture. products for higher porosity: leave in conditioner: great to prime the hair. Can be lightweight or heavy depending on the formula. Great to detangle thicker hair. Curl cream: VERY MOISTURIZING! creates soft defined and moisturized curls. Mousse, gel, and lotions can all be used depending on how much product your hair can handle. Oil: can opt for a heavier formula to ensure moisture all day long. If a leave in is not moisturizing enough but a cream is too heavy you can try a curl lotion. It’s basically a runnier version of a cream.
