Rukka Pathfind-R jacket review

The Rukka Pathfind-R jacket is a drop-liner, Gore-Tex jacket. It constitutes Rukka’s most affordable Gore-Tex offering. The jacket is very similar to the Rukka Comfo-R jacket, which we consider to be one of the most comfortable in the Finnish brand’s collection. But Rukka was concerned that some people would be dissuaded by the Comfort-R’s single A rating under EN17092, so they created an AA version. They achieved this by removing the stretch component from the chassis, and then adding overlays of 1500 denier Cordura on the elbows and shoulders and elbows, instead of the 500 denier overlays on the Comfo-R. The jacket comes supplied as standard with Level 2 D3O armour in the elbows and shoulders. There’s a pocket for a back protector. You get zipped vents up the flanks, and two exhaust vents in the back. There are two pockets on the outside of the jacket, and two more water-resistant ones on the inside. You get adjusters at the hem, and at the ends of the sleeves. There are volume adjusters on the biceps. There’s a crotch strap if you don’t want to zip in, but there is also, of course, a zip to connect to any Rukka pant. The collar is lined with Neoprene. You also get a removable, 60g. thermal liner.
