Prayer for the Sick O my God, here is this patient before You. He has come to ask You for what He desires and what He considers the most important thing for You. You, O my God, let these words penetrate his heart: The important thing is the health of the soul! O Lord, may Your will be done in him completely, and, if You wish him to be healed, may health be granted to him; but if Your will is otherwise, may he know how to bear his cross. I also ask You for us, who intercede for him; purify our hearts so that we may become worthy to transmit Your holy mercy. Protect him and alleviate his pain, may Your will be done in him; may, through him, Your Holy Name be revealed. Help him to bear his cross with courage. Amen.
