NYC Kayaking | Exploring the Decaying Remnants of Shooters Island
Join me on this very unique kayaking journey to Shooters Island off the coast between Staten Island, NYC and New Jersey. On the shores of the island, I explored and discovered a world of abandoned ruins and unfortunately, an abundance of trash and debris. The island was once a bustling industrial hub, home to shipyards, and factories. George Washington and his Continental Army even used this island as a drop off point for messages. Today, all that remains are crumbling foundations, overgrown machinery, and ghostly remnants of the past. This was such a fun kayaking / urbex combo trip. I hope you enjoy it! Let me know in the comments where else you'd like to see me explore. / twofeetoutdoors Music by Bensound.com/royalty-free-music Artist: Sound EGO License code: NX5BL1HVRHU2WCIW Music I Use: https://www.bensound.com/free-music-f...
