Greetings, my beloved colleagues. Still enthusiastic, isn’t it? Yes of course because our fate will not change if we don't want to change it ourselves. Hopefully today can be more productive than yesterday and tomorrow can be better than today. On this occasion I try to provide an explanation from a Carbon person's perspective regarding the problem of carbon anodes which are said to be decreasing in quality. Our comrades in the pot operation complained that many anodes broke when used in the pot. We don't want to get caught up in a trap of debate that is useless for us all. Here we only want to give our opinion regarding the sources that are the cause, both from Carbon's side or from the operations at the operational pot itself. The explanation of this material is divided into 3 chapters, namely: Chapter 1: Crack between anode holes no. 1 and no. 3 Here the causes of crack are explained and a scientific review of the reasons. Chapter 2: Vibroformer Here it is explained that the existing forming machines are actually no longer reliable for printing enlarged anodes.
