Op karpervakantie op betaalwater Jurassik Carpe 1 - bekijk de video van Barry Jansen!

Jurassik Carpe (https://www.thecarpspecialist.nl/beta...) is a domain north of Paris in the heart of Picardy, France. It's located near a town called Verneuil-en-Halatte. The name alone makes my heart beat faster. I have no idea how to pronounce it, but when a French woman says it to me, I feel all warm inside. The domain used to be named after it: "Domaine d'Halatte." The estate covers a total of 125 hectares and has three waters: Jurassik Carpe 1 (https://www.thecarpspecialist.nl/beta..., Jurassik Carpe 2 (https://www.thecarpspecialist.nl/beta..., and, as you might guess, Jurassik Carpe 3 (https://www.thecarpspecialist.nl/beta.... If I understand the description on The Carp Specialist's website correctly, the order of the water's surface area, difficulty level, and record carp is listed as the numbering in the name increases. Personally, I'm not a fan of fancy names. I come to France for the nostalgic feeling of medieval French waters where ancient, black carp swim their laps. Personally, I would have kept the original name. Once I arrived at the estate, my feeling was further enhanced. I get the feeling that, just like in the movie Jurassic Park, they've tried to recreate a carp park. Everything is perfectly taken care of here. There's a fantastic restroom building with several showers and toilets. Everything is well-maintained and clean. There's a fishing tackle shop, a soft drinks machine, and if I understand correctly, they even bring hot food and bread to your spot. There are lockers for storing your valuables, and you can rent bikes. I drive to my spot, and here too, everything has been taken care of. You'd have to be seriously drunk to drive the wrong way here. Every junction I pass is neatly signposted to the various spots. The rules are neatly printed on a sign at each spot, and that same sign indicates exactly which section of water belongs to each spot. There's a bin hanging from a tree for small trash and cigarette butts. You also get a garbage bag for any waste you produce during the week. It feels a bit like an amusement park. I glance around nervously to see if I need to get a ticket stamped for the carp fishing trip. As I write this, I immediately realize that I'm doing a serious disservice to both Jurassik Carpe and The Carp Specialist. Because no matter how you look at it, everything here is perfectly organized. Everyone at the organization has put their heart and soul into making your stay as perfect as possible. I actually feel a little guilty about my first few paragraphs, but decide to leave them as they are. As I head out onto the water in the Zodiac, the amusement park feeling gradually diminishes. First, I realize just how big the water is. Jurassik Carpe 1 is enormous and has two islands, so you can't see everyone. This week I'll be working on peg 20, and because pegs 18 and 19 are also unoccupied, I have a considerable amount of water at my disposal. I'm getting excited when I look at the fishfinder. The bottom is quite varied, with lots of weed and a mix of hard and soft bottom. This is going to be a challenge, partly because the past few weeks have apparently been very quiet in terms of catches. I see carp both on the fishfinder and around me... jumping and turning, they move around me. Within 20 minutes, I'm completely hooked and in the mood to catch carp here. I've found three spots where I need to do it this week. All three are weed-free spots on a hard and/or silty bottom. I have the most confidence in my rod, which is in a deep hollow with a silty bottom, about 20 to 30 meters from the island. I want to experiment a bit with bait. I usually fish with smaller baits or pop-ups, but I understand from previous reports from other anglers that there are quite a few tench and bream that also love it here. Apparently, there are crayfish too, so just to be safe, I've wrapped the Grainbaits hard hookbaits in a nylon stocking. Want to read more?
