2 Big 4:1 roped GLASS Schindler EUROLIFT (2600) MRLs in Shopping Center

They were installed in 2007 in order to provide the customers with two additional main lifts on the other side of the mall. For this purpose a new concrete lift shaft was constructed. The lifts have all glass car doors and glass doors on both mall floors. The doors on the parking decks are conventional and don't allow for a view into the shaft. The lifts are Schindler 2600, the freight lift model of the Schindler Eurolift family. They are MRL like most Eurolifts as the MMR option is very rare and the MRL solution saves the space for a new machine room in this already existing building. An interetsing feature of these lift sis the 4:1 roping, which is not seen on smaller sized Eurolifts. This system allows the Schindler 2600 MRL to lift up to 4000kg in the largest configuration.
