Warwick Thumb NT 5 comparison - wenge vs ovangkol

Warwick Thumb NT 5 comparison - wenge vs ovangkol While researching info about Warwick Thumb bass I've read many comparisons between the older ones from '90s with wenge neck and the newer ones from early '00s with ovangkol neck. Never found a video though... So, when I purchased a Thumb bass from 1995, I knew I had to do such a comparison myself. First part was recorded with different sound setup & EQ on each bass, using different strings (Warwick Red Label nickel on '01 & Warwick EMP on '95). Second part - the direct comparison - was recorded using the exact same settings on both basses. Thumbs had the same setup done, same set of strings (Red Labels), same onboard preamp settings, same pickup balance (both @ 100%) same compressor settings, both preamps (Ampeg SVP & TL Audio Ivory) were set flat. I used Mudvayne's "Not Falling" song for this one, where many different playing techniques are used. Please leave a comment which one you liked better and why!
