But Amsterdam isn't exactly synonymous with family fun. So in this episode of @windowseatworldtravel we're getting on the train and exploring rural Holland. From the rustic, touristy town of Zaanse Schans, home of wooden windmills and so much chocolate, they have to ship it out by boat... to Haarlem, an ancient suburb of Amsterdam with a church that dates back to the 1300s. And then we head to the beach town of Zandvoort aan Zee... where families frolic on the foamy beaches of the North Sea. There is a lot to see and do in this country - when you get outside of Amsterdam.
