We Hiked to a Remote Bothy on the Edge of Skye

A remote bothy hike on the Isle of Skye, Scotland — from Neist Point to the northern cliffs of Rubha Hunish. We hiked to a remote clifftop bothy at the very edge of the Isle of Skye, after a solo fishing trip at Neist Point on the west coast of Scotland. Kyle heads to Neist Point Lighthouse for some shore fishing, targeting pollack along the rugged Skye coastline, before we travel north for a coastal hike across open moorland to a remote bothy perched above the sea called Rubha Hunish. It’s around a 45–60 minute walk, but the views, cliffs, and sense of isolation make it one of the most unique hikes on the Isle of Skye. In between, Hayley shares a small update from the greenhouse — a bit of everyday life in the middle of these bigger adventures, and what we’re currently trying to grow here on the island.
