She ordered the car from Al Johnson Cadillac of Tinley Park, IL and opted for just about every option she could, even ticking the box for the uber-expensive stainless steel astroroof, a $3,838 add-on in 1979 ($13,540 today!). Through the last 40 years the car has been absolutely treasured under her ownership. The car will even come with a photo from when she brought it home in 1979, sitting alongside her Eldorado Convertible, also white. Very cool. The condition of this car is tremendously impressive inside, out, and underneath, especially considering that it’s a completely stock example that has never been painted, reupholstered, or modified in any way. This is not one of those cars that was used for a few years then put away in storage; this car has been continuously used as a summer cruiser and continues to be registered here in Illinois. Service records indicate 13k miles in 1988, 17k in 1991, 22k in 1998, 29k in 2000, 34k in 2003, 35k in 2009. In 2015, the owner took the car to American Auto Restoration of Homer Glen, IL and said “make it daily-driver-ready”. As it sits now, this is a well-spec’d, low mile, entirely original, well-documented, one-owner example in the striking colorway of white over red with white leather.
