In this 2-part series of videos I explain the Provane self-steering unit. In this 1st part I talk about my experience with it, how to mount it properly, and which possibilities you have to adjust the self-steering unit. I sailed with it 9000 nautical miles so far, from Croatia to Iceland and now I'm on the way back. It worked perfect under all conditions from light winds as well as in winds of force 8 on the North Atlantic. In part 2 I will then show how to sail with it under real conditions.
