Regional centres can have trams too! Newcastle Tram Review.

After spending a few months here, I decided it was finally time to get a review video out on another form of transport in Newcastle. We've already checked out a few Newcastle buses and caught an Endeavour railcar, so I decided it's finally time to show off Newcastle's newest form of public transport, the Newcastle Light Rail which has been running for just over two years. This video aims to show some of the history of Newcastle's trams, talk about why 'technically superior' options (like heavy rail), aren't always better and show off the benefits that the light rail has on the public realm of Newcastle. Since moving, I've caught the tram plenty of times and I even have a tram stop within a few minutes walk of my place. To be honest, its hard to picture inner Newcastle without the light rail, having spent 3 months or so in the city. So, join me for a ride onboard!
