This Mobile Observation documents a southbound journey from Washington, D.C. to Alexandria, Virginia via Interstate 395 and U.S. Route 1. Recorded on June 11, 2026 at approximately 4:05 PM, this observation begins near the George Mason Memorial Bridge and proceeds through Crystal City, Potomac Yard, and adjacent communities before concluding near Princess Street in Alexandria's historic district. The route documents approximately five miles of roadway connecting the federal core of Washington, D.C. with Northern Virginia's growing residential, commercial, and transportation corridors. Along the way, viewers observe high-rise office buildings, mixed-use development, retail districts, residential communities, transportation infrastructure, and public spaces representative of the region's continuing urban evolution. The purpose of this recording is to preserve a visual record of the corridor and its surrounding built environment as they appeared during the summer of 2026.
